Big Sky Breakdown: Montana State second spring scrimmage


Montana State conducted a 55-play scrimmage, the Bobcats' second of the spring, on Friday morning in Bozeman. The offense scored on five of its six possessions, including a 65-yard touchdown drive on the first series of the day capped by Chris Murray's 14-yard touchdown pass from Willie Patterson.

In this episode, Brooks Nuanez and Colter Nuanez break down the Bobcats so far this spring for about 20 minutes, then share audio from Patterson, junior receiver Kevin Kassis and third-year head coach Jeff Choate.

BIG SKY MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP PRESSER: Stifling defense leads Montana past EWU


Top-seeded Montana overcame an 11-point halftime deficit and went on a 26-4 second half run thanks to 18 stops in 19 possessions to secure a convincing 82-65 victory over third-seeded Eastern Washington in the championship of the Big Sky Tournament on Saturday night.

Northern Colorado buried 14 3-pointers and dominated the second half of a 91-69 win over Idaho in the championship game of the Big Sky women's basketball tournament on Saturday.

PRESS CONFERENCE: Eastern Washington 82, Southern Utah 70


Behind 32 points from Big Sky MVP Bogdan Bliznyuk, third-seeded Eastern Washington moved into the championship game of the Big Sky Tournament with an 82-70 win over No. 10 seeded Southern Utah on Saturday night.

MONTANA PRESS CONFERENCE: Griz survive UNC upset bid in OT


Montana rallied from a six-point deficit with 57 seconds left to play to force overtime, then held on for a 91-89 victory victory over No. 5 Northern Colorado. The top seed in the Big Sky Tournament will play in the championship game on Saturday night.

Idaho hit 16 3-pointers, including a tournament single-game record nine from Taylor Pierce on the way to a 102-99 win over Portland State. The second-seeded Vandals move into the Big Sky Tournament championship against Northern Colorado on Saturday.
